My GodBuddies Book is Ready!

A New Book about Better Friendships.

GodBuddies book

I’m thrilled to announce that my new book, Get Out of Your Man Cave: The Crisis of Male Friendship and How to Turn Good Friends into GodBuddies is now complete and ready for purchase!

The book explains why men today need better friendships. Written as part guidebook, part memoir, and part confession, I write about my own issues with work-life balance that led to joining a men’s group at my local church and developing a concept I call GodBuddies. The book explains why men tend to lose their friends as they move through adulthood and includes some practical steps and tools to develop closer, more authentic relationships that help men become better men.

The need for closer friendships is especially timely with the increase in loneliness and isolation due to the pandemic and all the confusion about what it means to be a man these days. Many of us understand the need to live to a higher standard rather than the angry, violent, misogynistic, and immoral guys we see on TV and in the movies.

Over the years, I’ve seen the need for men to have better friendships. Through numerous Bible studies and retreats, I learned about the principles for manhood, have read about the cultural issues for men, and helped raise three boys into young adult men. My hope is this book can serve as a guide for men of all ages to form deeper, genuine friendships.

United in Love, Divided by Hate

I feel compelled to write about the importance of unity and accountability in light of this past weekend’s assassination attempt of former President, Donald Trump. This post is not about my stance on one side or the other of the political aisle. It is not to state a position on

Living in a World with No Religion

My wife and I just returned from a vacation in Europe along the Danube River. From early on, we were convicted by how little we knew about the history of the region prior to the 1900s. The trip was amazing but also left me wondering: Is religion still relevant in
